We have some very exciting news to share!

Eastview officially began our Lead Pastor search on September 15, 2023. On the 126^th day of the search, January 18^th, 2024, the Elders unanimously agreed to extend an offer to our final candidate believing God had called them to Eastview for a time such as this. The Elders made an offer… and it was accepted! The joy and overwhelming emotion in the room was sweet. A beautiful moment in the life of our church!

It was such a blessing to celebrate the Christmas season together and usher in the new year. The new year brings with it expectation and a hope for what lies ahead for our church family! It’s hard to believe today is December 1^st. As we enter the holiday season, we’re excited to celebrate Christmas together as a church family. We’re also filled with a growing sense of excitement and expectation for what God is preparing for us in the coming year! Eastview Family, as we enter November our Lead Pastor search has been active for almost two months. We’re hopeful that we’ll be reviewing a short list of recommended candidates by Slingshot by the end of this month. For more information on the scope of this candidate pool and the process please refer to our October 6^th and 28^th updates. As we wait with expectation, we feel called to set aside the month of November as an intentional month of prayer. Eastview family, it’s been three weeks since our initial lead pastor search update. We wanted to provide a second update and an invitation for you, your family, friends, and small group to regularly be praying for this process and person.

Eastview continues to work alongside the Slingshot Group in our national search for the next Lead Pastor of Eastview Christian Church. Both Eastview and Slingshot are continuing to facilitate pro-active conversations with potential candidates across the country while receiving unsolicited applications from a variety of interested candidates.
