Eastview family, it’s been three weeks since our initial lead pastor search update. We wanted to provide a second update and an invitation for you, your family, friends, and small group to regularly be praying for this process and person.

Eastview continues to work alongside the Slingshot Group in our national search for the next Lead Pastor of Eastview Christian Church. Both Eastview and Slingshot are continuing to facilitate pro-active conversations with potential candidates across the country while receiving unsolicited applications from a variety of interested candidates. To date, 35 preliminary candidates have engaged through Slingshot’s official candidate pipeline. Slingshot has had several dozen additional conversations with potential candidates and other colleagues sourcing additional potential leads. We hope to narrow this list of interested and potential candidates down to a short list of top candidates in the month of November. That short list of candidates will be interviewed and vetted by the Eastview Search Team and then final candidates presented to the Elder board. In the interim, the Elders are calling the church to a month of prayer in November. We will be providing several avenues to pray in the coming weeks for what God has in store for Eastview! We are hopeful in this season as we see glimpses of who we are becoming and what God has in store for our church family and community.
