2027 Austria Haus Edelweiss Team

Vienna, Austria
Join our Global Team to Austria and serve at Haus Edelweiss in Vienna with TCMI. Haus Edelweiss provides training and graduate-level classes to pastors and church leaders from dozens of nations across Europe, Central Asia, and beyond. You'll support this ministry by serving in the kitchen, guest services, or maintenance and while connecting with these leaders by hosting a table during meals. In addition to practical service, you'll have opportunities to encourage and pray for students, professors, and staff, helping create a meaningful time of rest and retreat during their stay.

Before You Apply

  • Passport: Your passport should be valid for at least three months beyond your planned departure from Europe, though we strongly recommend having at least six months of validity remaining. At this time, U.S. citizens do not need a visa or ETIAS authorization to travel to Europe.
  • Health: Team members must be physically able to manage long, active days involving walking, standing, stairs, and occasional lifting.

What Happens After You Apply

  • Submitting an application does not guarantee a spot on the team.
  • All applications are reviewed. Applicants will be notified of their acceptance or waitlist status within two weeks of the application deadline.
  • Accepted participants will be asked to submit a 10% deposit to confirm their spot on the team.

Cost and Commitment

  • Trip costs may be covered through personal funds, donations, or a combination of both.
  • Final team cost may vary slightly based on airfare costs at the time tickets are purchased.
  • Once airfare has been purchased on your behalf, you are responsible for those costs, even if you are later unable to participate in the trip.
  • Each team participates in four pre-trip meetings designed to build community, prepare for the experience, and equip team members for service. Additional activities may be offered at the discretion of the team leaders.

Additional Team Information

  • About our Partner: Training Christians for Ministry International (TCMI) equips pastors and church leaders across Europe and beyond through graduate-level theological education and practical ministry training. Their mission is to develop Christian leaders who serve effectively in their local contexts and advance the gospel in challenging environments.
  • Team Capacity: TCMI limits the Austria team to six members. Please indicate a second team choice on your application if you would be open to serving on another team. Others will be placed on a waiting list.
  • Team Collaboration: Our team will join with small teams from other churches to form a unified support team that cares for both students and professors throughout their stay.
